Tim has been an active venture investor since 1984 and board member responsible for numerous investments in the biotechnology, medical device and healthcare services areas, including Innotech, Inc. (acquired by Johnson & Johnson), Camitro Corporation (acquired by ArQule, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARQL)) and Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALXN). Tim has been a director of over twenty companies.

Prior to the founding of CHL, Tim was a partner at Schroder Ventures managing multiple venture capital funds in the United States.

Tim is a graduate of Columbia College and the Columbia Graduate School of Business where he is an Adjunct Associate Professor teaching venture capital management.
