Our primary focus is investing early in a company’s development, often at the seed or start-up phase. We are typically the lead investor, structuring the financing and helping to build a long-term syndicate of co-investors. If necessary, we take an interim management role in our seed investments, setting corporate goals and hiring operating staff. As our portfolio companies grow, we continue to offer strategic guidance and close support through:

• serving as active Board members
• designing and executing corporate and financial strategies
• identifying opportunities for corporate and academic partnerships and collaborations
• identifying complementary technologies
• leveraging our extensive network within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, molecular diagnostics, healthcare services and medical device industries to identify customers and business development opportunities
• recruiting key senior managers
• raising additional capital in private and public markets by facilitating introductions to our broad network of leading venture capital firms and investment banks

Our initial investment size can range from $250,000 to $6,000,000.
